The bar was purchased by Gail Fulcher on August 1, 2023. It was rebranded into The Cavern on July 12, 2024. Gail's son, Aarron Smithson is preparing to take it over when she retires.
The Cavern is a friendly and welcoming hometown neighborhood beer bar that serves mostly craft on 32 taps but also has lots of traditional options, spiked frozen drinks, slushies, sours, ciders, meads, THC's, and NA's.
We also serve delicious bar food and breakfast anytime. On January 19, 2026, our burgers were chosen 2nd best in Jacksonville by The Scoop with Jax Restaurant Reviews!
